It felt like an earthquake when at 7.30 in the morning a huge fairy chimney rock collapsed in the Village of Goreme. The were no casualties although the big boulders did crash into and damage two hotels in the Aydinli Mahalesi area. The rock has been instable for at least 15 years, why the governemnt did not support this rock, which is UNESCO heritage, is not known.
