Trekking on the Volcanoes of Sicily and the Eolian Islands of Italy
Zafferano, Etna, Sicily, June 2006. The Etna erupts almost every other year. In 2002 a large lava flow almost destroyed the village of Zafferano. Climbing it, one can peek into the steaming craters.
