The Cappadocian fairy landscape in Turkey
Guzelyurt, Cappadocia, Nevsehir, Turkey, December 2008. The village of Guzelyurt was once known as Gelveri and inhabited by Greek orthodox Christians. Since the 1920's Turkish families have taken over their homes. The fairy landscape of Cappadocia is unique in its kind. Millions of years long, wind and water sculpted the tuffstone into spectacular rock formations. Photo by Frits Meyst/Adventure4ever.com
